About the TACDAlert System:
The TACDAlert emergency notification system is designed to provide TACDA members with a message of up to 60 seconds in length, that delivers timely notification of a serious, impending or active threat or disaster situation that is likely to affect you, your family or your community. As stated, these notifications are limited to only extreme and very real situations.
Telephone calls are instantly generated to only those members who have chosen to be notified of such urgent matters. Up to three (3) contact numbers will be called in order to play this alert (perhaps your home, work and cellular phone), as determined by you.
The TACDAlert system is operational 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and will deliberately interrupt, disturb and even wake you, bringing your attention to the situation at hand and encouraging you to take appropriate action, whether it be to "run for shelter" or to refer to your local emergency broadcast service for additional information and instructions.
