By joining with TACDA and becoming a member of The American Civil Defense Association, you too can play a significant role in strengthening preparedness efforts and moving America closer toward a confident civil defense
TACDA's ability to help our members equip and empower themselves, their families and their communities to learn about and understand the threats that we face as American citizens, provide them with practical preparedness solutions against these threats, and to advocate for improved civil defense measures nationwide is made possible by the financial support of our members and friends. This financial support comes via revenues generated from annual membership dues, direct gifts and donations, and other special fund-raising projects and events.
TACDA's member base is currently comprised of a variety of individuals, families and organizations all sharing the common goal of equipping and empowering themselves, their families and their communities to learn about and prepare for all types of manmade and natural disasters and emergencies.
What is Included in a TACDA Membership:
We currently offer a number of different membership opportunities, as shown below. However, they are all based around the benefits associated with a Personal / Family membership. These are:
- A member welcome package including a welcome letter, the latest issue of the Journal of Civil Defense, a personalized TACDA membership card, and a Member Preparedness Guide (coming soon).
- A one-year subscription to the Journal of Civil Defense, published quarterly.
- Member discounts off of supplies and resources purchased through the Online TACDA Store.
- A one-year subscription to the TACDAlert Service.
- Access to TACDA's online resource archives, containing approximately 38 years of past issues of the Journal of Civil Defense, searchable by keyword.
